About Christopher Wesley Moore

Christopher Wesley Moore is an award-winning writer, director, and actor from Mississippi who has been obsessed with movies for as long as he can remember. At just four years old, seeing Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in a theater completely blew his mind and sparked a lifelong love of storytelling, larger-than-life characters, and the magic of cinema.

By the age of ten, he was already making movies with his classmates using the family camcorder - pulling friends, relatives, and anyone willing into whatever wild story he had dreamed up that week.

By eighteen, Moore had completed three independent feature films before attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he continued developing his voice as a filmmaker. After returning home to Mississippi, he began creating a body of work that blends horror, dark comedy, Southern Gothic storytelling, and queer themes with equal parts sincerity, suspense, and mischief.

His films, including Children of Sin and When the Trash Man Knocks, have earned attention for their stylish visuals, emotionally messy characters, and willingness to tackle repression, loneliness, identity, and trauma through the lens of genre cinema. Whether frightening audiences, making them laugh, or breaking their hearts a little, Moore continues to approach filmmaking with the same excitement he had as a kid picking up a camcorder for the first time.
